About Happy Home Improvements
Happy Home Improvements has been a Mobile family owned and operated business from the beginning. Hap Partridge, a Murphy High School Graduate, started Happy Homes in 1977 with his parents, Alton and Dorothy. For almost forty years the Partridge family has offered Home Improvements to Homeowners all along the Gulf Coast. One of our main focuses has been to educate local builders and homeowners on the most energy efficient and green building products and techniques available.
Partridge family members join the business at an early age. Leah, Hap and Margaret’s daughter, started demonstrating the safety of cellulose when she was just a baby. She was so successful, she ended up on the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno! She still helps with Happy Homes marketing.
Matthew and Peter also had a young start in the family business. Matthew is studying at South Alabama and is the “go to guy” for computers and technology. Pete, after spending several years in the US Army, Engineering Division, is working closely with his dad and quickly learning the day to day operations. Pete’s energy and eagerness to do a great job and his passion for the company is often commented on by customers and is considered a real asset.
Happy Homes and the Partridge Family have not only tried to demonstrate the effectiveness of using green building products like cellulose insulation for energy conservation and cost savings, but have tried to be good neighbors by doing their part in the community. Every year Happy Homes participates in local events such as Earth Day Mobile, the Mobile and Baldwin County Home and Garden Shows, Habitat for Humanity Projects, Fire Safety Demonstrations, The Parade of Homes, and Sierra Club Community Projects.
Happy Home Improvements is an A+ Accredited BBB member, Energy Star Product Business Participant, Member of the Home Builder’s Association, and various Energy Efficiency Organizations such as HERS, Energy Pros, Electric & Gas Industries Association (EGIA), GEOSmart Authorized Contractors, and Energywise.
